"Blizzard had mentioned there may be a deal forthcoming regarding broadcasting their games on television in North America."
I can't believe this slipped passed everyone. I don't see this highlighted in any fansites and to me, that is absurd. I think this is one of the most truely unique news that StarCraft 2 competitive players could have hoped for. Just read it one more time. Yes, it really does say there may be a deal to broadcast their games on television in North America. What could this mean? I honestly have no idea whats up Blizzard's sleeve. If this were to happen, I'm sure pro gaming would popularize much quicker in North America than it would if Blizzard never did this. Just imagine practicing day in and out to get up the ladder. Many nights stayed up practicing that new, creative strategy you've been working on. It's easy now, because you can test it against random opponents with an upgraded auto-match making system incase your friends are offline. You work your way up to the top 10 and at the end of the season, Blizzard invites the top 10 to a tournament that will be broadcasted LIVE on TV. Oh... the possibilities, the road to stardom is near, aspiring gamers.

WHATS UP?
wooo
I agree this is more intense than most people admit. Imagine you're channel flipping, and you see some Starcraft 2 live tournament. You'd never see that these days in North America.
